数字普惠金融与农业机械化:实现共同富裕的新路径

Digital financial inclusion and agricultural mechanization: A new path to common prosperity

摘要: 数字普惠金融作为推动资源优化配置和缩小城乡经济差距的有效工具,为实现共同富裕提供新的发展动能。农业机械化能够通过促进农民经营性收入、工资性收入的增加,提高农村居民收入水平。定量分析2011—2022年城市层面数据,考察数字普惠金融如何推动农业机械化进而实现共同富裕。结果表明:数字普惠金融的系数仍然在1%的显著性水平上为负,说明数字普惠金融能够降低城乡收入差距,该结论在稳健性检验后依旧成立;进一步研究显示,数字普惠金融对共同富裕的作用在市场化水平较高的区域优于市场化水平较低的区域,在数字基础设施水平较高、较低区域优于数字基础设施水平中等区域,东、西部地区优于中部地区,组间差异性检验显示各组内部存在着显著的差异。传导路径检验发现,数字普惠金融对农业机械化滞后一期、两期的系数分别为0.210和0.253,且显著为正,说明农业机械化在数字普惠金融降低城乡收入差距时发挥着重要的渠道作用。鉴于此,应加强数字基础建设,构建地域特色数字普惠金融框架,提高农业机械化水平,缩小城乡差距,实现共同富裕。

Abstract: As an effective tool for optimizing resource allocation and narrowing the economic divide between urban and rural areas, digital inclusive finance provides a new development dynamic for achieving common prosperity. Agricultural mechanization contributes to improving rural income levels by promoting both farmers business income and wage earnings. This paper conducted a quantitative analysis using city-level data from 2011—2022 to examine how digital financial inclusion promotes agricultural mechanization and, in turn, advances the goal of common prosperity. The results revealed that the coefficient of digital financial inclusion remains negative at the 1% significance level, which indicates that digital financial inclusion can reduce the urban-rural income gap, and this conclusion still held true even after robustness checks. Further analysis showed that the effect of digital financial inclusion on common wealth was more pronounced in regions with higher levels of marketization, than in regions with lower levels of marketisation, as well as in regions with higher or lower levels of digital infrastructure, compared to those with moderate infrastructure. Regionally, the impact was stronger in the eastern and western parts of China than in the central region, with intergroup variability tests confirming significant differences across these groups. Transmission mechanism tests demonstrated that the lagged effects of digital financial inclusion on agricultural mechanization (by one and two periods) were both significantly positive, with coefficients of 0.210 and 0.253, respectively. This indicated that agricultural mechanization plays an important role as a key channel through which digital financial inclusion helps narrow the urban-rural gap. Based on these findings, the study recommends enhancing digital infrastructure, building region-specific frameworks for inclusive digital finance, advancing agricultural mechanization, and reducing urban-rural disparities to achieve the overarching goal of common prosperity.
