甘薯农户扩大种植意愿影响因素研究——基于江西省11地级市680个种植户的调查

Factors influencing sweet potato farmers‘ willingness to expand cultivation: Evidence from a survey of 680 households in 11 prefecture-level cities in Jiangxi Province

摘要: 基于江西省11个地级市680个样本农户的问卷调查,借鉴柯布—道格拉斯生产函数,从劳动力因素、资本因素、技术因素和其他因素4个方面设定变量,运用Logistic二元回归模型对甘薯种植户调研数据进行研究。模型回归分析表明,在引入的所有影响因素中,是否愿意加入农业专业合作社与注册农产品品牌商标、单位面积产值、机器代替人力的程度和种植收入占家庭总收入比这5个自变量对因变量Y产生显著性影响,且回归系数为正向,与预期影响判断一致,即愿意加入农业专业合作社,愿意注册农产品品牌商标的农户更愿意扩大甘薯种植;同时,甘薯的单位面积产值、机械化程度及种植收入占家庭总收入比例越高,扩大甘薯种植规模意愿越高。但回归结果中,受教育程度、单位面积产量、单位面积成本、是否参加过种植技术培训这4个自变量与预期影响判断相反,即受教育程度与单位面积产量越高,以及参加过种植技术培训的农户越不愿意扩产;相反单位面积成本越高,越愿意扩大甘薯种植规模。据此,提出完善甘薯专业合作社建设,推广农业专业合作社“名牌”;提高农产品品牌意识,树立农产品区域商标;加快农业机械化进程,推动农业数字化与智能化升级;解决当下基本难题,推动适度规模经营等建议,为江西省甘薯产业发展和结构调整提供决策参考。

Abstract: This study examined the factors influencing farmers willingness to expand sweet potato cultivation in Jiangxi Province. Based on a questionnaire survey of 680 sample farmers across 11 cities with districts, the research employed the Cobb-Douglas production function as a reference framework. It incorporated variables related to labor, capital, technology and other key factors, utilizing a binary logistic regression  model to  analyze the survey. The regression analysis  revealed that five in dependent variables significantly influence  farmers  willingness to  expand sweet potato cultivation.  These  include willingness  to join  specialized agricultural cooperatives, registration of brand  trademarks for agricultural  products, output value per  hectare, degree of mechanization replacing manual labor, and the ratio of planting income to total household income. All  five variables exhibit a positive regression coefficient, aligning with expected impact judgment. This indicates that farmers who are inclined to join specialized agricultural cooperatives and register brand trademarks of agricultural products are more likely to expand sweet potato cultivation. Additionally, higher output value per unit area, greater mechanization, and a larger proportion of planting income relative to total household income further enhance the likelihood of expansion. However, contrary to expectations, the regression analysis showed that higher education levels, higher yields per hectare, and participation in planting technology training are associated with a lower willingness to expand cultivation, while higher production costs per hectare correspond to a greater likelihood of expansion. Based on these findings, the study recommends strengthening specialized sweet potato cooperatives, promoting agricultural branding through trademark registration, advancing mechanization and digital transformation, and addressing structural challenges in sweet potato production. These insights provide valuable guidance for policymakers and stakeholders in developing and optimizing the sweet potato industry in Jiangxi Province.
