Journal of Chinese Agricultural Mechanization is a guiding and authoritative academic journal in the field of agricultural mechanization in China. It is supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and sponsored by Nanjing Institute of Agricultural Mechanization, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, which is a statistical source journal of many databases, including Scopus Database, JST Database, China Journal Full Text Database (CNKI), Chinese Science and Technology Journal Full Text Database (Wanfang Database), China Science and Technology Journal Citation Report, and Chongqing VIP Database. In addition, it is a source journal for the Chinese core journals, Chinese core academic journals, China's science and technology core journals, and China's agriculture and forestry core journals.
Journal of Chinese Agricultural Mechanization was founded in 1957, then renamed Southern Research Newsletter for Agricultural Mechanization and publicly issued, and finally discontinued due to historical reasons. The journal was resumed under the name of Southern Agricultural Mechanization in 1981, and the journal was renamed Chinese Agricultural Mechanization in 1984. In 2013, the journal was renamed the Journal of Chinese Agricultural Mechanization, which promotes an authoritative academic and theoretical platform for China's agricultural mechanization field. It is dedicated to the theoretical discussion of agricultural mechanization in China and to propagating the agricultural mechanization policies from the government. It also explores the theories for agricultural mechanization development and records the scientific facts, data, theories, technologies, methods, ideas, and hypotheses, which shows the development dynamics of agricultural mechanization science and technology and reflects the academic research in China. Furthermore, it displays the innovation history and historical process of China's agricultural mechanization development, supporting the basic, frontier, and public welfare research of China's agricultural mechanization with academic theories and the improvement of China's agricultural mechanization at the academic level.
Journal of Chinese Agricultural Mechanization has sections on agriculture mechanization and equipment engineering, facilities agriculture and plant protection machinery engineering, agricultural products processing, vehicle and power engineering, agricultural information engineering, agricultural biological system and energy engineering, agricultural soil and water engineering, research on agricultural intelligence, comprehensive research on agricultural mechanization, and so on. The academy has an impact on the domestic regions (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan), some governments from foreign countries (including North America, Europe, Western Europe, South Korea, Japan, etc.), universities, public libraries, national defense, scientific research institutions, and application departments.
At present, the Journal of Chinese Agricultural Mechanization is playing an increasingly important role in promoting academic exchanges at home and abroad and agricultural science research.
