The editorial department is responsible for the editing and compilation of a series of textbooks and books. This includes: presiding over the compilation of the national unified textbooks for adult education in agricultural machinery, commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture; the national universal series of textbooks for agricultural machinery training under the "Sunshine Project"; the Agricultural Machinery Volume series of the "National New Rural Construction" collection; the special feature "A Historic Leap," supporting the 30th anniversary of China's agricultural mechanization reform and development, sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture; and the Ministry of Agriculture's picture collection for promoting agricultural machinery safety. The department also undertakes research projects on the development and information systems of China's agricultural mechanization. These include drafting the "Interim Provisions for National Adult Education in Agricultural Machinery" for the Ministry of Agriculture; formulating the national development plan for education and training in agricultural mechanization; as well as key soft science research projects such as the safety supervision of agricultural machinery for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and research topics on rural revitalization in Jiangsu Province.

Over the years, projects undertaken by the magazine press have won one Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress from the Ministry of Agriculture, one Third Prize for Technology Promotion from the Ministry of Agriculture, and one First Prize for Science and Technology Progress from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). Furthermore, the press has been honored as a "National Advanced Collective in Agricultural Mechanization Information and Publicity Work."
